About Us

Friends of Brightwater, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to preserving the legacy of businessman Hibbard Casselberry and architect James Gamble Rogers II through the safeguarding of Brightwater. Designed by Rogers, this historic residence served as the home of Casselberry from its construction until his passing in 1969.

Our mission is to educate the public about Hibbard Casselberry’s life and contributions as a prominent entrepreneur, local politician, and developer, while also highlighting the architectural achievements of James Gamble Rogers II, a founding principal of RLF Group and a renowned figure in architectural design.
